Why We Started This

The body shop side of a car accident should be the easy part. You bring your vehicle in, someone who knows what they’re doing fixes it, and you get it back. That’s it. What actually happens for most people is a maze of adjuster phone calls, preferred-shop pressure, estimates that need three rounds of revision, and a vehicle that takes longer to come back than anyone told you it would.

AutoBodyNow was started to deal with that. We handle collision repair in the Greater Toronto Area, and we do the insurance paperwork for you. Not “help with” — actually do it. We file the claim, talk to your adjuster, submit the estimate, negotiate supplements if the repair uncovers hidden damage, arrange your rental if your policy covers one, and bill your insurer directly. You sign an authorization when you drop off your car, and you pick up your keys when it’s done.

How We Work

Three things we commit to on every job:

Free written estimates. You get a detailed quote in writing before any work starts. If it ends up costing less than the estimate, you pay less. If we discover additional damage once we tear into the repair, we stop and talk to you and your insurer before continuing. No surprises.

Direct insurance billing. We work with every major Ontario carrier — Intact, Aviva, TD Insurance, Desjardins, Economical, The Co-operators, Wawanesa, and the rest. Direct billing means you don’t pay the full amount upfront and wait for reimbursement. Your insurer pays us directly. You pay your deductible and that’s it.

Honest about what you actually need. If polishing will fix a scratch, we’ll say so instead of quoting a full repaint. If a dent is better suited to paintless dent repair than traditional body work, we’ll route you there. If your rust is bad enough that repair doesn’t make financial sense for the age of the vehicle, we’ll tell you. We’d rather earn repeat business than sell you something you don’t need.

Who We Serve

We’re based in the GTA and we work with drivers across Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Oakville, Scarborough, North York, and Etobicoke. Every city has its own driving conditions — we wrote local pages for each one so you can see what we typically see from each area and how the process works for you specifically.

If you’re dealing with collision damage, paint work, rust, a scraped bumper, a dent you can’t explain, or anything else that needs a body shop, tell us what happened. We’ll come back with a written estimate and walk you through everything from there.

What We Don’t Do

We’re a collision repair and body shop service, not a mechanic. We don’t do engine work, transmission repair, brake jobs, oil changes, or routine service. We don’t do windshield replacement (that’s typically a separate glass claim). We don’t sell vehicles, rent vehicles, or broker insurance. If you need one of those things, we’re happy to point you toward someone we trust — but it’s not what we do.
